The last time I read GR (about 8 years ago) I would often do so while
mildly stoned, taking lots of notes as thoughts and connections came
and went.  Then later (say, the next day w/o weed) I would try to
tighten up those notes.   I found it a remarkably productive way to
read GR, but I had read it twice before...
