Five points that I didn't see on the wiki discussion:
 
1. Is that "realistic" neon (colors, etc.)? Perhaps not: http://scienceblogs.com/sunclipse/2009/07/would_you_call_these_colours_m.php
 
2. Did someone here already suggest that the cover is remenesent of Douglas Adam's "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency"? http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/images/n0/n1752.jpg
 
3. Robin suggested the pink on the flaps was "remainder paint" and someone asked for a picture of "remainder paint." Did anyone ever find a pic?
 
4. Are there meaningful constellations in the stars on the back of the dustjacket?
 
5. What's with the way that some covers say "a novel" and others do not?
