Trivial semi-connection I happen to remember that does not seem to relate as the birthday fact does in IV. (One must have mental discipline with the actual connections!)

The Watts riot, mentioned in Chap 1 of IV and, of course, the subject of one of TRP's few but famous non-fiction pieces, started on the eve of his birthday in 1966.
