He's arguing that Zoyd is morally equivalent to Brock Vond, In doing  
so he is blatantly. stupidly, wrong. One can trumpet one's background  
reading in all them Jamses to their heart's content, but if they can't  
connect the dots, they're stupid. William Kristol is a fine example of  
this syndrome.

Andrew Sullivan's favored quotation from George Orwell applies  
particularly well in this instance:

"To see what is in front of one's nose needs a constant struggle."
