I remember seeing "Dark Shadows" out of the corner of my eye when it  
was an ongoing concern. Never really caring all that much for soap  
operas or the Gothic atmosphere of "Dark Shadows," it left little  
impression other than simply being odd. It strike me that the current  
interest in vampires—True Blood, anyone?—indicate it's high time for a  
revival of Dark Shadows. Which in fact it turned out to be: A Tim  
Burton movie of Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp is in the pipeline.
