but although - as you point out - the "mentally ill" stipulation
didn't come from Brock but from Hector, tasked with the nuts and bolts
of BV's deal, I guess, and using this opportunity to humiliate Zoyd - or
pigeonhole Zoyd, with his affinity for pot smoke, as a crazy person...
(and, presumably, the "something publicly crazy" requirement came
from the mental health bureaucracy rather than either HZ or BV)

...what did emerge from Brock was an ironclad assurance on page 301, that
any reunion with Frenesi would be noticed and stomped upon.
So that can't be a realistic hope for him, any more than his late-night tv ads
for the "Not Too Tough to Cry" compilation.

furthermore, while yes I24 reaches out to Zoyd with his shooting gallery
plan, by the time we've finished reading about it we know it will never happen.
Zoyd recycles the young dude's energy into his own, realistic
plan for the band to play the Wayvone nups. Nobody mentions that
plan again, do they?

Au contraire, Vineland's honorificabilitudinitatibus - like Zoyd's -
glows more warmly the closer you approach it.
