No reason for anyone to worry, we of course do not live in narrative
time, nor do we need to post in it. Given recent events in my own
life, I couldn't necesarily have counted on being around for either
the novel's release or the reading of it here, and the way things are
going, I'm worried I may end up offline again for some inconvenient
period of time. And taht of course could prove true for any/all of us
here. Meanwhile, we have some genuine momentum on this novel, and we
shouldn't lose it. Fortunately, it may just be compact enough for us
to keep that going straight through.. And let's face it, the book's
been under discussion from the moment it was rumored, even, certainly
from the arrival of the first advance copies. So let's not get bogged
down wasted our time and attention on ultimately beside-the-point
recriminations and ongoing personal vendettas here ...

We have a new Pynchon novel, people, if you haven't quite made it to,
uh, page 7 yet, well, beware the spoilers, or don't, whatever you wnat
to do, but do respond, to the book a well as the posts as well as the
posters. Keep in mind, i'[m no better prepraed than anyone here, I'm
posting on the fly as well, so ...
