Dear David Morris,

It really is more my fault than any of the regular talk-a-lot posters recently on the list.....

I was impatient to start. I did think you were back but, mistakenly, therefore, stupidly, and even beyond stupid . Did I send an email directly to you
asking if you were back---which, with no response, would have told me what 
I should not have presumed? I did not. 

In my pushiness, I even 'spoke for' Laura with no right to......Sorry, laura, will not again.

My push-up-the-time email WAS the start of whatever momentum Dave M. rode the wave of, it seems clear to me.

I violated proper community behavior fully conscious of the Labor Day-to-start working decision, which even some of our newer attendees might not have known of.  

Please accept my apologies. I've relearned from Pynchon that they matter.

I'll do Chapter 2 as penance if no one else wants it.......and I'll be late to start since I will be travelling and doing some work. You, all, can catch up, read Chap 2 twice, etc...
