a gentle plea for plain text

I use Mail, came  with my iMac. It lets me switch from plain to rich  
text.  Rich text is what includes all the crud, like in your p-list  
messages.

I don't know what too you use to send email, but if you care about  
what you post, you could look into your particular system  
configuration  and figure it out. Ordinary humans have done so in the  
past.

Or, you could remain uninformed, and keep posting crap to the p-list,  
rendering the Pynchon-L Digest for all practical purposes unreadable,  
especially for subscribers who can't visually read but must have their  
email read aloud.
