Most bone-headed Movie Review of All Time?

If I remember at all vaguely corectly, there was a lot of nay-saying about 
The Big Lebowski when new.......1) too comically subversive to easily get by many?   2) that common phenomenon of dissing the NEXT work after a unanimously praised, overpraised now?, previous film. 

I won't confess my first reponse to it.
