Short story website lets iPod generation download classics
Audio recordings of short stories by European literary heavyweights
are now available to download following the launch of a website aimed
at introducing the classics to the iPod generation.

A new website aims to introduce the iPod generation to classic short
stories Photo: GETTY Spoken Ink allows users to download the works of
authors including Anton Chekhov and D H Lawrence, which can be played
on iPods, MP3 players, mobile phones and computers.

The stories in its extensive library are narrated by famous actors
such as Timothy West and Prunella Scales and cost between 49p and
£1.99.
