P-related crystal palace tidbit from Don B. book

Don B.s father was an architect. He designed the Indianapolis and the Folger Shakespeare Libraries, among other work of course.

The writer of this bio does a summary history of architecture in America when Don Sr. entered.....what came to be called The International Style of Modern Architecture, he writes...out of the Bauhaus vision..."the new building...which will rise one day toward heaven from the hands of a million workers like the crystal symbol of a new faith", he quotes from a mission statement document...
