Apparently a lot of leftist/radical academics 'hid' in geography departments in California to avoid getting weeded out in the Reagan years, and now feminist/anarchist/marxist/queer studies geography is all the rage, even here in little ol' Kentucky.
Similarly, David Graeber is pursuing what he calls 'anarchist anthropology'. I haven't read it yet, but he wrote a short book by that name.
all the best,
Don
ps. The list digest is still screwed up (it doesn't list email subjects or senders!)... I have unsubscribed and resubscribed, but the problem persists. Who manages this list and does maintenance? This problem has been ongoing for months now.
