In comparison with Stoiber? Yes. And she held among the warmongers from
her party the most powerful position. But the list is long and in terms
of sharp pro-war rhetorics there were CDU/CSU politicians who were worse:
M. Glos, A. Glück, R. Koch, F. Merz, L. Meyer, F. Pflüger (who even attacked
the churches because of their anti-war-position!), J. Rüttgers, W. Schäuble,
J. Schönbohm, E. Teufel.
And let's not forget that the SPD/Greens-coalition first (in early 2002) wanted
to join the 'coalition of the willing' too, before Schröder found out how to win
the election that alreade seemed to be lost. Plus: During the war, as we now know,
the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), the German secret service for foreign affairs,
did help to kill by providing data for the bombings ...
