Pearlman on Pynchon

Bios are usually written by others, and rightly so. Autobiographies
are little more than memoirs. Talk about unreliable narrators!
I guess if Pynchon has a problem with others telling of their
encounters with him, he should have required everyone he met to sign
non-disclosure agreements. Otherwise he really should have become a
full-fledged recluse.
