ontologically, and byword-wise, isn't it a demonstration of how
"freedom of the press belongs to those who own the press"?

I was thinking of how governments like to be the good guys,
when they can - government can be a great force for tolerance
and mercy.

But news media in the Hearst and Murdoch tradition applies
continual pressure on government to be warlike - simply because
the consortia which own their organs profits from such activities -
and to be intolerant, because again the wealthy monopolists want
to freeze progress and keep themselves in a preferred position.

It won't work, in the long run good news drives out bad...
