In case it is not known, and in case it applies to many other
email systems, I have learned this [from Yahoo's IT helpers]:
"Embedded' text, defined at least as 'cut and pasted pics w text, etc.' and some copied
text from other sites, is sent as Rich text, even if one's setting is and
remains Plain text......
