Seeking advices on acquiring rights

Hopefully not NP complete

I'm thinking about starting a publishing company translating English
novels into Korean. I'd like to publish PKD books and David
Mitchell's, and hopefully someday Pynchon's too. (Lot 49 and V. are
already published here, GR is planned and I was told that there are
some publishers competing for the rights of Inherent Vice, but there
are no interest in M&D or Vineland so far)

Any advice on acquiring rights? Of course I'm asking around here, but
I'd like to hear some perspectives from the other side before
contacting agencies. (sounds like I'm with thanatoids)
