I agree on your point, Mark--Webb Traverse laments how his anger was
misdirected at the expense of his family, his wife, and himself.
I think its been commented on how Cyprian in some ways is the most
sympathetic character in the book.
I would think one of the institutions even a radical would pause in
blowing up would be a library.
One of the most telling comments in the WU documentary recently
released was by one of the Panthers--at best he felt they were sincere
but that was about the extent of the praise.
Which brings to mind that great documentary about troops returning
from Vietnam publicly speaking about the atrocities they or saw
committed--John Kerry is in the film, too--can't remember the name but
there too there are side lobby conversations between the liberal
whites and black radicals which boiled down to blacks complaining
about how they had no choice in resisting the establishment.
