within a day The SS killed close to 700 in Oradour--like Lidice after
Heydrich was assassinated-the whole town was leveled. I think the
ruins still stand today. one of the more underreported aspects of the
war in europe--the viscious partisan war mostly in Russia and France
unleashed by the SS and the German Army
