It looks to me like either waste.org in general or pynchon-l in particular
have set their pages to not be indexed by Google, Yahoo, and other search
bots, or have at least not aided said indexing.
I should get hits using "Advanced Searches" using Yahoo or Google and
specifying waste.org as the domain, but when I do so, I get nothing.
Hmmm... Looks intentional to me...

yeah, the next time I have a chunk of time, I was thinking I might
slurp the whole archive up and write some little scripts to search it
and stick it up on the web somewhere. that's assuming a bit more
competence and free time than I actually have right now...
but do you think anybody would be pissed if somebody did that?
