When I was a teen, I noticed the trend of movies becoming more violent, and I posited that as a knife is more personally violent than a gun, a chainsaw would be as bad as it gets, but I thought that that particular extremity could/would never be approached in mainstream media.   <sigh>  Should know better than to underestimate... anything!
