Of little use but maybe of a little interest, here's my TV Guide to
VL. Includes all programming real and fictional, though omitting the
countless references to the genres of cop dramas, medical shows, news
reports, Movies of the Week etc through which most characters frame
their experiences.

Some references are also not strictly TV (eg Tarzan, Superman). But I
can't recall any film, for instance, that is related to a cinema -
they're all reruns on the Tube. I think more broadly a reference to
Tarzan is going to be Tubal rather than literary.
