Vineland itinerary

[Monte Davis]

I'll be in Oregon and northern CA visiting my sons from about Jan. 24
through Feb. 1: flying to Portland, then after a few days driving south to
Chico (on 99 near Lassen & Shasta), then back up to Portland. 

I expect to go one way on Interstate 5, the other on coastal 101, passing
through the nascent "Eureka-Crescent City-Vineland megalopolis." All
suggestions for stops, sights, and scenery more or less close to those axes
welcomed.
