Thanks for that. I'm a big R.T. fan. I think that you are right in
that he captured the embedded irony and sense of loss in the song. The
dissolution and loss of innocence from an unrealistic dream
unfulfilled. See also Altamont and Pete Townsend's acoustic version of
"We Won't Get Fooled Again" which is also more sad than angry.
