VL--IV Passivity, more active thoughts

don't know for a man who talks about sloth alot. In any case, I'm not
sure what Mr Pynchon the man believes or does not believe beyond a
distrust of institutions and othe hierarchies that dehumanize and
control.

Well, I suggest that with that much known, we know he should have a vision
of the human of being beyond control............And we have seen (some of) that.


In Vineland, I'm just wondering if he is scoring 'laid-backness", passivity, certain 
strains of hippiedom as part of the problem of what made the 80's........
