Obviously the creator of this map is not a Pynchon fan; if he was, the
bursts would be push-pins, but one DeanN wrote in the comments:

It´s fiction, sure, but Pynchon is reknowned as a master and obsessive over
detail and there´s plenty about the science behind the rockets and the

he´d probably rank as one of the world´s foremost experts."
