Famous hoax perpetrated in 1835 and printed in the New York Sun, August 1835.
This hardcover copy, dated 1859, Gowans and 1856 on frontispiece has
issues. Ex Library copy, library tape spine binding with ink lettered
title. (withdrawn) bookplate The University of Minnesota, (defaced),
interior stamp, Lennox Library New York, June 17 1914, and catalog
number 165201. Overall all fair to bad, edge damage, corner damage,
pages loose up to 34, seem to be complete, but not positive. Overall
foxing, paperclip marks, pencil notations. Rear cover, tape and tag
