One thing about Thoth not mentioned--because it only "might" relate after we have encountered Against the Day is
that Thoth, Egyptian,  in some versions leads DIRECTLY to Coptic religious beliefs. Which, we recall, is explored in Against the Day---distinguished, many say, as the WRITING down DIRECTLY of the doings of JC and the Apostles. No intermediary text.
