p. 92 "as if she had been trapped at the centre of some intricate crystal" and said, "My God"...as she did on page one...that near "religious instant". .........Thoth feels close to "My God"....(Thoth embodies American Exceptionalism?)

Note: (at least) second example of a person picking up on the last word a person says...Makes a nice Who's on First kind of joke....
Yet, these make me laugh every time, EVERY TIME --after I was a working adult---'cause I have seen it happening all around me.....(probably by me too)............the world is full of immediate misunderstandings, shallow knee-jerk response vs. getting the
context?....
