Eighteen Challenges in Contemporary Literature

Wired magazine is -as always- trying to be "out there," whatever that
means. This jargon-riddled article reads like a scaremonger's the-End-
is-Nigh attempt at getting noticed. Like the "End of History," the
"End of Literature" is often alluded to by people with too much time
on their hands, but too short an attention-span to read challenging
texts and too little talent to write anything other than lists for
magazines.

This is not the first time someone writes about the end of literature
and it will not be the last.
