Gotta love those formulas on the back of Manhattan maps for computing
the nearest cross-street, I.e. "if north of 14th street, multiple by
17 and divide by 9, then calculate the binomial coefficient with k=4,
finally, subtract 4000." A-and if you're trying to navigate by number
in the Village, you will only find an exercise in frusteration. Though
I gotta give it up for those pesky Queens addresses when it comes to
esoteric systems....
