Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang... Nice people. I once drove to Frankfurt
for a Galaxie 500 show, arrived there three hours early because I didn't
know the concert was to begin at midnight and incidentally met them and
Dean Wareham in front of the club. They asked me if I was a music
journalist, I denied, they put me on the guest list anyway. After the
show, they sold their merchandise themselves, so certainly could have
used the Deutschmarks...

I just looked up Exact Change on Wikipedia. Interesting.

Galaxie 500's first album "Today" still ranks high in my personal
all-time charts. And their version of Joy Division's/New Order's
"Ceremony" always threatened to lift the roof off of the tiny clubs they
were playing in. Dean Wareham seems to recently have published a book
about his life as a semi-popular indie rock star. Has anybody read it?

Thomas
