Today begins the reading of the 13th chapter of the book called Vineland, page 268 et seq. in the Penguin paperback edition thereof. The Babies of Wackiness gloss refers to this as a "short,simple" chapter but I am not so sure that anything in Vineland is simple.  In any case, I will be posting my first host's comments this evening.  

For now it's off to see The Watchmen....
