Fascism in all its varied forms is a central theme in Pynchon. If
Vineland has a BIG THEME, it's the Fascist Within. Vineland displays
members of the radical anarchist Left being seduced by the tools
deployed by Fascists, the seduction becoming quite literal in the case
of Frenesi & Brock's tryst.
Just got a copy of Deluze and Guattari's "Anti-Oedipus" yesterday,
plan on incorporating it into the group's discussion of Vineland.
