I dearly, dearly, very dearly miss Powell's, especially the tech
store: I've never seen a place where so many tomes of mathematics have
been so accessible. The Strand, while epic, simply cannot sate my need
to spend a whole day in bookstore edification. And the rare books room
at Powell's? Supposedly haunted by a member of the Powell family - who
can beat that?
