Just as the Film [by Bruno Monsaingeon] of Gould's 1981 Goldbergs
is a different performance than the CD of that "version" of the
Gouldbergs, the "State of Wonder" remastering of Gould's 1981
Goldbergs derives from an analog back-up tape* and has the best sound
of any version.

You know, like, if you're into high-end sound and all its surrounding
yuppie detritus that continues to seduce me.
There is also quite a bit of technological high weirdness going on in
the Zenph Studions "re-performance" of Glenn Gould's 1955 monaural
recording‡ into "player piano" stereo—the "Glenn Gould Hum Filter" has
finally been perfected!:

‡ The one in the "Goldbug Variations." Now available in Stereo,
Surround or even Binaural, if you're into that—nudge nudge, wink wink.
