So long, and thanks for all the Genocide denials

...but not here, not now.

We need to zero in on the genocide trials, important stuff really

and why the testimony of Milosevic would have been interesting except
that he died.

when I say interesting, I mean that he would try to paint a picture
exonerating himself, and we could watch as the legal authorities in
charge of the prosecution countered his arguments.

In the as-yet immature field of international law, this would have
been a great exercise to watch. He would no doubt have raised
objections similar to the ones mentioned in my piss-take, and it would
have been satisfying to see someone expertly counter them.

I was hoping to have the claims in my tale vigorously refuted, and
certainly ready to bear some personal abuse with equanimity.
But for my trouble on the list, I find myself gobsmacked for even
daring to posit that his explanations had left me with unslaked
curiousity.

So I had taken a day to think, since by my own formula I may not have
done anything directly to John except have the temerity not to
instantly agree - but still there were certainly other, better
discourses I could have offered.
Or perhaps, simply better listening (if in a public house) or
attending to what was written.

And for that my aching jaw reminds me that all actions have consequences.

Gobsmacked! I've been pleased to read and comment most volubly and
hope none will take a period of silence (as if in the saloon) or
non-posting as anything but a much needed rest.
