All those clothes, self-dressed, to make getting naked quite difficult. But she wants to play.
"Pierce said you would not be easy"...from inside the tower.
She "tried to find her image in the mirror" but couldn't. "A moment of nearly pure terror".
Yet, in the scene, she "rushed to him, fell on him". He is asleep. Then 'his radiant eyes flew open,
pierced her".....
Women's self-images are changing. They can finish a "seduction"; they want IT outside of marriage.
"Pierced" coming up again later...Pierce.
