Seems in the intellectual sparring of the early psychoanalytic movement,
one major difference Jung----a fave of OBA, we know---had with Freud was
in the definition of "the Oedipus Complex" ......
For Freud it was a phrase to describe a major sexual conflict in the psyche;
for Jung it should be interpreted as a wish to be reborn, wrote Erik Erickson,
a largely-Freudian-inspired analyst and historian, who did however, accept
this understanding re Oedipus Complex from Jung contra Freud's.
