I agree with this ob.......with Hilarious, joke of a doc, [meant to allude to Leary?] another of P's head doctor
satirizations, I suggest TRP might be suggesting that the spreading fad of LSD is another inside-the-tower
way of falsely thinking one is 'finding the bridge inward"...MB: another suburban game.

It's different if it's a Pill, says Oedipa, and our Mr. Natural, TRP, is thinking that, I suggest.  

I think when we then hear of Oedipa's 'hallucination": the Uncle Sam sign saying "I Want You---when we
do have a good idea of what TRP has always felt about such from The State, then..............

maybe too banal, but, isn't that reminiscent of "we need a fourth for
Bridge" (the card game)

which digs in the direction of "acid-tripping as another suburban game"
but also equally and oppositely points to the mind-expanding
properties of card games (since the Mother of all decks of cards is
the Tarot, after all)
