Two simple reasons why torture shouldn't be used as an interrogation tool:

1.  It is immoral because it inflicts permanent damage on its victims.

2.  It is counterproductive.  It was designed to produce confessions,
not information.

"24" is not reality.  It is a serial adventure comic book.
