Hi,
I've been re-reading Mason & Dixon (read it once in 1997) & working on the
Wiki at the same time, mainly streamlining lots of the historical info that
Wikipedia holds onto the PynchonWiki for easier access as well as other
additions etc... Anyway, I was curious (I havent been a member of this list
since 1997 when I actually sent a somewhat drunken message about this same
issue) if it has ever been discussed regarding Mason & Dixon as the "Twins"
to "order" the world from Hopi Legend.
See this:

I am only now at about at 341 (have been trailing about 10 or so pages on
adding to the Wiki), so not quite into the westering parts again... but was
just thinking about it again, and curious if there has been any discussion a
bout this at all... Sorry I am lazy to search the archives...
Loved "Inherent Vice", then reread "CoL", then reread "Vineland" (which I
did a bit of new stuff to Wiki as well) - anyway, just wanted to say howdy.
Is anyone else happen to be reading M&D? No biggie. Am also reading the
new pressing of the "Multiple Worlds of M&D" essays, slowly, read the 3 M&D
essays from the updated Bloom books as well..............
Thats all I got for now-glad to be back
Cheers,
TM
