This practice -- maybe it's just me traveling in different circles --
really did used to crop up in casual conversation a lot more
back in the 70s (can't speak for the 60s, a bit too young)

I prefer late comedian Sam Kinison's phrase: "lick pussy"...
unless you think of "pussy" as a relatively non-corporeal entity
that resides in and around the vagina, coexisting to mutual benefit,
and the "eating" taking place is agreeable to, rather than consumptive
of, the fleshly vagina, labia, clitoris, the notion gives me the jimmies...
at the very least, I would have to conceptualize a relatively non-corporeal

and not necessarily negatively.  That there is a
commonality, a solidarity (at one time, weren't
people seriously organizing prisoner's unions?)
