TRP tracks Nixon in his fiction, lifelong

Perlstein tells of the outsider club Nixon organized at Whittier which
he called the Orthogonians---basically, "at right angles" (!!) RP defines it---and we know about right angles in TRPs metaphors--- although Nixon said it meant "straight shooters".......

Little wonder TRP savages him so, eh?
