- "a car-napped 1934 Hispano-Suiza J12" another luxury car. Car- 
napping is a nice neologism or am I wrong?

- banana clip: a banana-shaped cartridge magazine for an automatic  
weapon. This scene seems ridiculous.

- near the heat: the heat is the police in the mob slang. "it would  
get back to these guys": Bigfoot may know much more about the case  
than he told Doc.

- D and D, according to urbandictionary.com means dine and dash: eat  
and go away without paying the check. Sharks would have eaten Tito  
and go away d and d style is what I guess.

- Ford Falcon and Chevrolet Nova were small cars, used here because  
Tito thought they could be unnoticeable.

- VDub means VW and is a way not to say Volkswagen. Another kind of  
compact car

- Ojai, near a place called Chryskylodon. We firstly heard about it  
thank to Aunt Reet, and Doc found out that Wolfmann and his wife had  
financed a wing of the institution. P. 171 we learn that Japonica  
kept being sent there by her parents. And now, that's where Wolfmann  
was trying to get out "before he dropped out of the screen" (184).

- Tito gives Doc the explanation that ties everything together  
(another Lebowski rug): the word chryskylodon is "squashed together a  
little bit, but it means like a gold tooth […] Gold fang."
Well, chrysos means gold, odous (genitive odontos) means tooth, but  
the fang is called kynodon (dog tooth, just like in French: canine),  
kylon means eyelid, but it's not a very common word. So golden fang  
should be something like chrysokynodon. But -kyl- makes it more  
frightening!

I am sorry not to be able to comment the chapter further, but it's  
been a great week for me. I'm glad some of you p-listers enjoyed, and
