The Real, or The Symbolic?  The Real here'd be a helluva gearshift for
Pynchon on the matter of media 'n' mediation, at any rate,   But this
also reminds me, were there any of those moments Doc hisself wasn't
all too sure had/hadn't happened therein?  I'd beeen tryingto keep
track of those, but ...
