Excellent point, Dave.  Watergate was not really a big deal, i.e. just a small caliber smoking gun, kinda like Marion Barry getting popped for crack (the bitch did set him up) after years of the Feds unable to pressure him to step down though they couldn't hang the corruption charges on him that anyone in DC knew he and his cronies were guilty of (let it dangle!).
