okay, is he referring to a specific person?  Is this supposed to be Japonica,
or have there been other young girls who were brought home by Doc,
or in some cases perhaps turned in, maybe even to Bigfoot?

Are there specifics that I have missed, even after looking for them?

And another thing: Penny, the assistant DA, is not so completely enamored of the
justice/parent/TV locus of control as not to twit him about the
episode, which is kind
of liberating.

also...Doc's membrane of information protection has become semi-permeable
so that he learns from Penny while not coming forth with info himself (now that
he knows she can't be trusted?)
