Very much more so: 1925-1970 saw the lowest immigration levels since Jamestown. The Tide of Alienitudinousness Threatening All That is Traditionally American, which has today's nativists in such a tizzy, is in fact a return to historical norms (except with more Latinos and fewer micks, krauts, wops, dagos, bohunks, scandihoovians, polacks, etc.)
